Surface Keyboard推出冇耐，微軟公司又推出了一款新的鍵盤 ─ 「Modern Keyboard」，並特別內置指紋感應器！
Modern Keyboard是Surface Keyboard的後繼鍵盤，甚至外形一樣， 唯一的變化是有指紋讀取器，並且預留插口容許用家以有線連接電腦。
指紋識別器於鍵盤右手部分的第二個Windows鍵中，可用於登錄Windows 10或使用Windows Hello的網站，鍵盤將支援Windows 10、MacOS和最新版本的Android。
Modern Keyboard相信很快就推出，售價為$129.99美元。
